My Journey into Sanatan Dharma
Unlock powerful ancient Indian wisdom and discover transformative secrets for improving your focus and wellbeing! Explore Vigyan Bhairava, Ashtavakra Geeta, and Rigveda—spiritual texts that offer practical meditative techniques and positive perspectives to elevate your mind and life.
Powerful Techniques from Vigyan Bhairava
Vigyan Bhairava discusses how to focus the mind using potent techniques. It explains how to concentrate on the gap between inhale and exhale or the space between changing thoughts. This is believed to be the realm where the true Brahman exists; the more you focus, the greater your ability to control your mind becomes.
Once you can guide your mind to work as you wish, remarkable achievements become possible. Excellence in any action can only be attained when body and mind operate in harmony, with your entire being dedicated to a single goal. I am actively practicing these techniques and find them very effective. I have noticed a significant improvement in my ability to focus on what truly matters to me and my family.
Advaita Philosophy in Ashtavakra Geeta
The Ashtavakra Geeta explores even deeper concepts about the Atma (Soul). It teaches that there is no separate atma, emphasizing the Advaita (non-duality) philosophy, which states that everything is Brahman. The text suggests we cannot control external events; the only thing within our control is our surrender to the Supreme Being. Through personal experience, I have realized that even with maximum effort, outcomes often take their own course—sometimes less favorably, sometimes better than expected, but rarely exactly as planned.
Life Lessons from the Rigveda
I am also reading the oldest Veda, the Rigveda. I noticed Indian stories sometimes depict Lord Indra in a negative light. In contrast, he did much good throughout his life, earning his position as the leader of all lords governing earthly elements like air, water, and fire. The Rigveda consistently mentions that Indra worked for the greater good and fulfilled the wishes of the ordinary people.
One standout lesson from the Rigveda is its emphasis on affirming the positives. This is quite similar to the messages of popular YouTube videos about manifesting a good life through positive affirmations. It seems the modern world has adopted several cues from our ancient Vedic texts.
Final Thoughts
All these books are truly inspiring, and I plan to share more as I continue my journey through them.
