Hello!
I am busy like always and think where this hectic life taking me? Am I happy, am I doing well, shouldn’t I create something more meaningful? All these thoughts keep coming back to me. A few days back, I started thinking, what is common between great companies?
How come Steve Jobs (Apple), Larry Page (Google), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), Elon Musk (Tesla/SpaceX and many more), created such successful companies. They were intelligent, that’s why. I think NO. One common thing that I can observe in them or rather say in their companies, is their vision. The SUBSTANCE around which they have created their company. I would say all these companies have a SOUL, which decide their path. These companies are doing well as they have strong driving force behind them, their SOUL. As famous SIMON Sinek said, “They knew their WHY, since beginning.”
Every Great company has a SOUL to guide its PATH
Apple has its SOUL in it’s PRODUCT and PRODUCT DESIGN. Google has its in SEARCH, FACEBOOK has SOCIAL NETWORKING. SpaceX/Tesla has revolutionary vision to make human existence larger then anything else. This SOUL or SUBSTANCE is something which is common GUIDING principle among all these big companies. I can say, they hardly forget their core substance while planning anything. Why I was thinking about all this? Because I myself thinking about my SOUL. Where do I want to GO? Where my destiny lies, or what is that one thing I want to pursue in my life? It seems like everything has been taken already and I am left with nothing. JUST KIDDING.
Where is the SOUL for my work, if there is any! Who is there to GUIDE me?
I realized the Sustainable Solutions in Energy and Environment engineering is something which is of great value to pursue. I realized, sustainable solutions is something, which I may not be able to pursue at this time, as the solutions needs time and efforts. Second, sustainable solutions requires a bit holistic solution, a solution which is tangible, which right now I cannot pursue creating. Third thought and which was the major one is, sustainable solutions depends on People co-operation and co-ordination. We see that people are not so much Conscious enough towards their surroundings. This is where my MIND got focused. WHY DO WE DON’T HAVE CONSCIOUSNESS TO MAKE OUR WORLD A BETTER PLACE?
So, hence I decided, I will try to address this question and try to bring something on this. CONSCIOUSNESS is something, I would like to pursue. You will see more write-ups on this topic and I will try to condense my knowledge on this subject, and bring something that actually do something about this problem.
What is Consciousness? Is there any general accepted view on it? What its nature? Can we measure it? Can we describe it? What is the current state of research on this topic.
I got so many questions to answer. It seems like a good plan for my rest of life.
If I can level up my fellow beings Consciousness, then they themselves able to make this environment, a more sustainable and habitable place for coming generations.
I think, I have found my LOGIC!.
