In continuation to the last blog that I wrote, after going through several books, and documentaries I am clear about one thing. That is, do I carry anything of my own? Have I created anything that is very organic. Seems like starting from birth, name, language, thoughts, goals there is nothing which I have controlled. Every single thing in my life is contributed by this world which I have perceived with my 5 senses (Taste, Touch, Smell, Listening, Seeing). All my opinions, thoughts are influenced and contributed by these 5 senses. Whenever I ask this question to myself, again my mind becomes mute. Isn’t it great, keeping your mind mute. There is only one thing which is very much my own, that is breathing, and which is not connected to any influence or thought, neither its involuntary working leads me to any where. But you may ask, what is this non-sense, why are you asking this question at the first place.
As per hindu scriptures, it’s maintained that World which is perceived/experienced by 5 senses is MAYA (An Illusion), it is not real. The real thing will always remain hidden to you till the time you remain slave of your senses and keep on furnishing them their food which they enjoy, e.g. Food to satisfy tongue (taste). Again you will ask what is bad in that, actually nothing bad, but when the very same senses drive you towards doing something which is nothing but satisfaction of few moments (If you have thought about sex at this point then you are right), you instead of becoming master of these senses, instead become slave of these senses, which is not so good. It poses a very deep challenge to our consciousness considering that if you loose one or couple of more such senses like (seeing, listening, taste), you will still remain you, but the senses which drive you have disappeared. Hindu scripture Geeta says, if you become master of your senses, and remove all attachments to worldly desire, then you can truly become the one which is called as supreme master of their own senses. You will be full of bliss, won’t carry any burden.
If I think about all this, it actually make sense, most of my day or I can say my life till now has went into satisfying my senses only, if somehow I can control them, for sure I will wiser than before. I am not sure whether I will be able to meet the supreme power, but for one thing I will sure will be free of any prejudice and unhappiness inside.
More than that, I can keep my mind at peace. My mind become peaceful even when I ask this question, do I carry anything of my own? It can’t answer this question and become silent.
Do you carry anything of your own??
